Are you and your employee’s too busy selling boats and running a dealership to worry about populating a full website? If so, Dealership Tools has the perfect solution for you: a fully managed service package.

Dealership Tools will manage your New Boats and Botors, Specials, Testimonials, High Quality Images and Videos. You will only be in charge of adding your Preowned inventory and managing your leads. Your employees can be trained on how to add preowned boats; with our duplicate boat functionality, it is as easy and quick as can be.

What does 'Fully Managed' mean?

Fully managed means you will not need to populate your company’s website, the Dealership Tools team will handle the website content and the ‘New’ inventory.*1 Running a dealership (or multiple dealerships) and selling boats can be a handful; Dealership Tools is here to pick up the slack.

Dealership Tools has the expertise to manage marine industry websites, from website design to content and inventory management. Your site should be easy to use and should draw customers in quickly. Taking advantage of this fully managed package would guarantee that, while eliminating the need for your staff to spend their valuable time managing content. The goal is to boost your page views and increase the time users stay on your site.

What is included in the 'Fully Managed' package?

Access to the Dealership Tools Marketing Platform is the same for every package; the difference for the fully managed package is that Dealership Tools is responsible for populating the content on your site. If you want Dealership Tools to manage your marketing as well, a marketing package is also offered.

What Dealership Tools will manage vs. What you can manage:
New Website Design & Set-up
Your brand new site has already been built. The demo site from which you are reading this, once a subscription is chosen, will be your new official site. The “” will be dropped from the URL and your current site pages will be redirected to your newly designed website. This will ensure your search engine rankings don’t budge.
If there are a few aspects you feel are missing from your new site that maybe you had on your last site or would like to introduce, Dealership Tools offers customization options. Contact the team today for more information.
Account, User & Staff Profile Controls
Staff Profile management has recently been added. With this new feature, you can now add your employees into the system, along with their image, job title, contact information and a friendly description. This information will then display on the ‘About Us’ page. If you select this Fully Managed Package, this section will be managed for you as well. You will just need to supply an image of each employee and a short synopsis including their job title, what they do for the company and their interests.
You will also be able to add multiple users. Keep in mind, these are separate from the staff profiles. You will be in charge of your ‘Users’. User management allows you to give your employees limited access to your dealership management platform. Adding these users will give them access to specific parts of the tool. They can be as restricted or as open as you’d like.
It is recommended that you add your sales people as users and give them access to the leads tools. This will allow your sales manager to assign specific leads to specific salesmen. It will also allow the sales people to manually add leads directly to the system and assign them to themselves so they can follow through with the processing of the lead.
Account Management also allows you to add your logo, your ‘About Us’ information, the primary contact of the company and your locations. Alternately, if you supply Dealership Tools with the above information, it can all be added to the appropriate sections so you don’t have to worry about it.
New & Used Boat and Motor Inventory Control
With the fully managed package, Dealership Tools will add ‘Brochure Boats’*2 and ‘Brochure Motors’ for all of the boats and motors your “New” manufacturers currently make. The data for the boats and motors will include: specifications, optional packages for brochure boats and motors, images, videos and documents. These boats and motors will then get a ‘Brochure Boats’ tag (this tag will display in the platform so you can easily tell which boats and motors have been entered) so that it appears on your site in the ‘Brochure Boats’ section.
While Dealership Tool’s handles your ‘New’ boats, your team will be in charge of adding your pre-owned inventory. The support team will provide tips and help guide you through until your team gets a hang of the system.
The even better news? There is a duplicate boat functionality that will allow you to simply duplicate a brochure boat that matches the model of the preowned boat you wish to begin adding. Once duplicated, manipulate the data and media to be updated to match the details of your preowned boat. Be sure to remove the ‘Brochure Boat’ tag so you don’t confuse which version of the model is the real ‘Brochure Boat’.
Leads Processing & Management
Leads Processing & Management has recently recieved a ‘Bulk Action’ facelift. You can now assign leads to a specific sales person, unassign, mark spam, resolved, or delete in bulk.
You can respond to the lead through the system and add notes directly to the system if you happen to have a phone call or face-to-face conversation with them.
Unlimited Image, Video & Document Uploads
You can add an unlimited number of images, videos and documents to each boat and motor.
Additionally, Dealership Tools can upload quality HD Images and credible YouTube Videos for each Brochure Boat and Motor.
Sales Specials Management
Whether company specific or manufacturer related the team can add all the specials you or your manufacturers offer. Once the end date comes around, the special will be removed from your site.
On a regular schedule, Dealership Tools will take a look at your ‘New’ Manufacturer sites to check if they have activated a sale or special. If they display it, so will you.
Boat Directory Synchronization
Currently,Dealership Tools only allows synchronization to Boat Trader. If you have a current account with BT, your account will be synchronized to your Dealership Tools account so you can then export your boats directly to BT at the time of creation. No more double work!
Tech Support
Even with the fully managed package, Dealership Tools will always be there to help you navigate your site or your Dealership Management Platform. If you have some questions about why something isn’t displaying, how to perform a task or if you are seeing an issue with either your platform account or site, the team is here to help you.

This fully managed subscription is our most popular package option. At only $769 a month, you can have the Dealership Tools team manage the content for your site, along with providing a Brochure Boat for all models that your ‘New’ Manufacturers actively make. This is the best package for busy dealerships; dealerships that don’t want to manage their own site; and dealerships that have multiple locations. You get a new site, a direct link between your site and platform account and tech support, all for this low monthly price.

If you have a few site customizations you would like to make it a bit more unique, a-la-cart customizations are offered. These require a custom quote so please call or email the Dealership Tools team separately for a detailed quote.

Purchase Our Fully Managed Package

What elements will be removed post purchase?

Upon subscription purchase, the un-editable Dealership Tools marketing aspects of your site will promptly be removed. The Dealership Tools “How To” guides and subscription information articles will be removed, and the footer content will be updated to your company information.

Additionally, any other editable default data that the Dealership Tools team notices you haven’t updated quite yet will be made apparent. With the purchase of the ‘Fully Managed’ or ‘Marketing” package, the team will update this data for you. However, if you do select the ‘Self Managed’ package, Dealership Tools will provide you a list of the items the team believes you should update.

If you need additional help, Dealership Tools will be available to aid your staff with “How To’s” on updating your site and get you moving in the right direction.

*1 If your company opts for our fully managed or marketing package, we cannot take on the management of your preowned boats because we do not work on site. It would be easier for us to train a 1-3 of your employees on how to enter boats so you can enter the information right then and there. Having you send us all the details and then s entering it would be double work for both teams.

*2 Brochure Boats will be similar to the boats you find on the manufacturer sites. We will be sure that any models that are currently being produced by any of your manufacturers have a place on your site. This will make it visible for your customers to contact you and have you start the ordering process.

*3 We do not currently have the functionality to process purchase payments. You will be able to manage your lead in our system up until the time of sale, once your reach a sale point you will need to process the payment through your company’s purchasing technology.
